Kristal, getting ready to "roll" after they finished the packing and cleaning up the house. She followed Johnny in the U-haul the second day and we promised to come for Jakeb's birthday some time around the 18th. It was hard to see them move away but John's work depended on it.
These Flamingos are described on down the page a bit.
Hard to imagine them surviving snow and ice.
Johnny in the U-Haul after packing it and ready to head out to Spokane. They couldn't open the window, else Frodo would try to escape. He was acting like.. "Not this again!" Wouldn't even turn around for his picture to be taken by Grandma.
Frodo decided to look out the window but not a happy camper. We took the big truck up to the new home and then all rode back in the car so they could stay at the motel for the night and go get another truck in the morning so as to finish packing up the loose ends.
We (Kristal and I) followed Johnny & Dad up to Ritzville and then Kristal got in the truck with Johnny and John drove our car the rest of the way to their new home.
God gave us a safe trip and we got back about 11. It was about 2 1/2 hours up and 2 back, since Johnny drove back to Richland. We were able to see their new home and it was nice. In the country! Saw Flamingos on a farm nearby and found this interesting.. Whoever heard of Flamingos in the North? They also have Camels and Zebras!! Told Johnny he was going back to his roots. As most of you know he was born in Africa.
