Some high lights of 2014

Mother's Day Tea early May.

This was a great blessing. Around the table from Left to Right.. Joan, Annika, Danielle, Liz, Cory.

Joan is a neighbor friend, Annika and mother, Danielle, are friends who I met at the Food Bank.
Cory is Joan's daughter.

This was another happening in May. We got to
fly to Kansas City for the H.S. graduation of Gary's and Mary's youngest Son- Garrick John.

We were there for a week and had a great time.

In this photo you will see Garrick and Gary in the back. Mary on left and Mother- Liz in center and John on the right. Ashley was able to introduce us to her boyfriend... "Spencer"

and the family entertained us royally and we had great fun.

This is the Graduate- Garrick John Landsberg. What a joy to be able to attend this affair.

The flight down through Denver was without problems BUT
the flight back was a challenge. We couldn't get out of Kansas City on time but didn't know just when we'd leave. Decided to wait to eat our evening meal until we got to Denver.  Not a good idea because we had to rush to catch the plane.  There was a wheel chair waiting for John at each port but on this one the Lady with wheel chair called a Cart to come and pick up both of us.  When we got to the plane they
had closed the door but opened it for us... They greeted us with "Well, there you are!" They actually had held the plane for us. We were on our last lap of the journey heading to Spokane. Johnny was waiting for us but at the wrong gate... He couldn't figure why we weren't getting off when everyone else was off.  I called him to tell him we were at the Alaska Gate.  Go figure!!

More about the Tulip Festival Trip..

What a beautiful trip to Mt. Vernon on April 9, 10
Tupe' and via ready to go... Thanks Tupe' for driving and Via for navigating. You both were
awesome.

Lovely red and yellow tulips which appeared
to be bright Orange until you looked closely.

Below.. the old windmill at Roozengaarde.

Roozengaarde In the Skagit Valley. Lovely gardens and rich colors of many variety of Spring bushes and flowers.

Below: Don and Helen- more new friends who were passengers in our van, as well.

Beautiful yellow tulips. I saw no one tip-toeing through the tulips, however.

Our Van Driver... Tupe' and Via. We were so
blessed to be riding with the Praise team from
the Spokane Christian Center. We sang praises both going to Mt. Vernon and returning home.

The second and last day on our trip we left the Tulip fields and traveled a few miles to the coastal town of La Connor.

This is Ruth and Ivan Roberts, our most able and fine Tour Guides and cheerful companions.

They certainly found some unusual and interesting places for us to visit Thanks, a bunch.

How could anyone resist this photo op?
Isn't he gorgeous? The sign says "I'm hungry.
Don't mess with me."

This was a real treat and in the picture you will see from left...
Diana, Jim, Ruth, Ivan, John and Don. A few of the friends we enjoyed fellowship with . This was a unique Fruit and Produce Market.

A scheduled stop in Leavenworth was welcomed by all. The quaint shops with such a variety of goods made a happy time for every individual as they stretched legs and walked about... perusing the wares and purchasing here and there.

Not often that we get to see the Mountains in WA so this was a treat to get a view of snow covered peaks both on our way to the tulip fields and returning home. What a taste of God's beautiful creation from the mountains, pines, snow, colorful fields of tulips, to the friends with whom we traveled. Abba Father blessed abundantly.

A trip to the Tulip Festival in Mt. Vernon, WA

John and I had the privilege of traveling with some beautiful friends to Mt. Vernon, WA for 2
days... April 9 - 10. The fields of Tulips and gorgeous weather added to the event and made
for many a happy 'photo-op'.

Our wonderful friends... Jim and Diana King on one of the lovely Spring Days at Mt. Vernon.

We went up to Moses Lake with some friends, the Kings, and met some folks from the Spokane Christian Center. At that point we joined them in their vans to complete the journey to the very North West. Mt. Vernon.

It was a pleasant journey all the way. Previous days' forcast for the Cascades was a bit unnerving but with God all things are possible. It was a sure thing that the God of the Universe could change the weather patterns as well as create them. And it was a perfect drive both days.

Acres and acres of colorful tulips filled our vision and hearts with much joy as we drank in the beauty. On our way, we listened to the Gaither music and joined in singing many of the praise songs. (Actually, we were riding with the Praise Team, themselves, from the Spokane Christian Center. What more could we ask for?)

On April 3rd, we drove to Spokane to join a birthday party for Trevor John who turned...
(can you believe it?) 8 years old.

This is a collage' of the family, grandma and grandpa with the boys and some of the pretty wild flowers around their property.

It was a nice day with Kristal's folks already there
and Uncle Brock and family joining us for lunch.

Mommy Kristal planting the candles on the

Star Wars Cake- which was at Trevor's request.

Grandma and Grandpa loving on those

big Boys. Trevor actually
let Grandma hold him and Jake
loved on Grandpa.

Wild flowers were everywhere in their

woodsy surroundings. Pink, blue and yellow

colors blending with the new green
