Christmas Ltr. May-June (Slightly out of order)

May:
A flight to Orlando, FL was in order.
We had received an invitation to Christian Pieter Landsberg's High School Graduation in May! Could that be possible? Why it was just yesterday that we held that first little grandchild in our arms. Now he's holding us in his arms, as you can see. This was a thrill for us to be there for this special occasion.
Chris started attending the Indian River Community College this Fall and holds down a job at Winn Dixie, as well.

A sweet surprise awaited us. We were happy to watch as Ashley, 17 was pinned as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant). It is her desire to enter the medical field after graduation. Mom, Dad and Garrick are in the picture with her. Notice that beaming face. Gary is teaching at the Christian School where Ricky attends. Mary is still working in a lab at one of the local hospitals.
Ashley is a busy Senior and 'cares' for children during the week to help pay for her car insurance, gas and incidentals.

Ricky was awarded this im-pressive MVP
Tropy at the party. Was he surprised!

Soon after we arrived Grandma joined the family at a years' end party for Ricky's Little League Baseball team. One of the mother's hosted it and this is her 'tropical' garden and swimming pool. (Above.) The boys had a great time.
We were honored to witness another important event while in Jensen Beach with the family. Garrick requested to be Baptized into Christ and began a New Life in the Lord Jesus. Now the whole family has doubled their relationship. How beautiful is that?

On our way back to WA we visited with old friends from Rhodesia Days. Dave and Judy Finney. They live near Orlando so they generously offered to take us to the airport at 4:00 a.m. What hospitality!
They both work at Disney and Dave is preaching a Church nearby.

We had a fun day reminiscing about old times.
Altogether, this 3week trip was a wild, non-stop whirlwind of JOY. Thanks to the Landsbergs for all the blessings and love.
